- Metal scrap (ferrous, non-ferrous)

Recycling Program
Materials we recycle:
- Metals: Aluminum, steel, copper, brass
- Paper/Cardboard: Baled and sold
- Plastics: HDPE, LDPE, PET
- Electronics: E-waste program
- Batteries: All types
- Oil/Coolant: Filtered and recycled
Air Emissions
Controlling air quality:
- Welding fume extractors required
- Paint booth filters maintained
- Dust collection systems operational
- Report excessive smoke or odors
- Annual emissions reporting
- Permits kept current
Wastewater
Protecting water resources:
- No discharge to storm drains
- Oil/water separators maintained
- pH monitored and adjusted
- Pretreatment required
- Spills contained and reported
- Monthly discharge testing
Spill Response
If a spill occurs:
- Minor Spills (<1 gallon):
- Contain with absorbent
- Clean up immediately
- Dispose in hazardous waste container
- Notify supervisor
- Major Spills (>1 gallon):
- Evacuate area if unsafe
- Call EHS emergency: Dial 5555
- Activate spill response team
- Contain if safe to do so
- Do not wash down drains
Spill Kits
Located throughout facility:
- Absorbent pads and socks
- Brooms and dustpans
- PPE (gloves, goggles)
- Disposal bags
- Instructions
- Report used kits for restocking
Chemical Storage
Proper storage prevents releases:
- Compatible materials only
- Secondary containment
- Labeled clearly
- SDS available nearby
- Proper ventilation
- Away from drains
- Locked when unattended
Storm Water Protection
Keeping pollution out of drains:
- No washing vehicles outdoors
- No dumping anything in drains
- Clean up outdoor spills immediately
- Cover outdoor storage
- Maintain good housekeeping
- Report cracks in pavement
Energy Conservation
Reducing our footprint:
- Turn off lights when not in use
- Shut down equipment during breaks
- Close doors and windows
- Report air leaks
- Use energy-efficient settings
- Participate in conservation programs
Inspections and Audits
Regulatory compliance:
- EPA inspections possible
- State environmental audits
- Internal EHS audits quarterly
- Corrective actions tracked
- Employees may be interviewed

Training Requirements
